Okay

Tamora Pierce rocks. (What else would I say in a Tamora Pierce fan group?)

The new "Daughter of the Lioness" series is probably my favorite series in the Tortall series. "The Immortals" used to be my favorite, but Alianne has replaced Daine in my heart. But I just reread the Daine series, and I still love her.

That's about it. Ciao.

My Second Community Joining- Order up! One WARM welcome plz!! =3

Hiya. Maybe my joining this community will give me the initiative to finish some of her series. I love Tamora Pierce, she's such a neat writer!! So many hardcore girlies that rock my combat boots. :d I got into her series when I bought Wild Magic! I heard about it from some website which had one of those -If you liked Harry Potter-Try THESE- whatsits. X3 That's also how I came across Redwall and Lloyd Alexander Taran series. @_@ Wow, whoulda thought.

Does anybody think that she should do a new separate series that could work as a spinoff from the Immortals? Kind of like Trickster's semi a spinoff from Alanna. Erm... I'm probably not even using the right words; spinoff, hm... parallel series? XP

Well, anyway. Pleasure meeting you guys, I hope that I'm not being intrusive randomly joining.

I just joined so i figured i would post that i love tamora pierce and i have every book and i've read them many times (i'm about to re-read the circle opens because of the new circle book she is writing).  I personally think the tortall series' are better, but the circle of magic got me into her books, so i have to stay loyal to my introduction.

First of all, could we please keep the non-Pierce related entries to a minimum? No offense, but if we wanted to read personal experiences we could go to individuals' journals. Thanks :)

Second...

I finished Trickster's Choice. Awesome... that describes it all. I was really surprised at how different Aly seemed to be from Alanna, but how flashes of Alanna's personality sparked through every once in awhile. I'd figured that after creating 3 completely different women for one setting (Alanna, Daine, and Kel) that Aly would be a sort of mixture of the three, but she was her own person... prideful, yes, but curious and ready to make good on promises she made.

I'm looking for Trickster's Queen now, since I loved the first book. I gave Trickster's Choice to my mom to read and she said she wants to reread all of the Pierce books in order (since that's hard to do at my house with 3 (sometimes 4) females trying to read the same books at the same time :)

I was thinking last night about how all of Pierce's books are borderline feminist literature but not quite... which is an awesome category to land in, since many readers are turned off by feminist literature... but it's still a girls-kick-butt series.

I'm curious, though, what Pierce is going to do next with the Briar, Tris, Sandry, and Daja series... they've all been pretty much uniform, but I guess the most natural thing to do now would be to bring them all back to Winding Circle, and have them interact with new students placed at Discipline...

dude i feel like i'm the only one who posts. that might be because i post alot cuz i have a lot of time on my hands during the weekend. (or at least on sunday)
U kno wut rocks. Archery. I've been doin it for a while now (a year) and it is so much fun. it builds muscle in ur wrists. which i am in dire need of since i broke my right one falling off my horse. (did that earlier in the school year)anyhow i'm just postin cuz i'm extremly bored and watchin a basket ball game in the other room.
If u can try archery. its fun. tho make sure u have finger gaurds at first cuz the string can hurt. also make sure u have a wrist gaurd cuz when u loose an arrow the bow tends to snap ur wrist hard if you don't have a steady hand.(took me 6 months to develop an ok steady hand.)
anyhow gotta go
bye
